We had a lovely time at The Oaks, the photos don't do it justice. The house is beautifully decorated and the beds are so comfortable. The owner was communicative and left is several surprise gifts, the donuts and freshly baked bread were amazing. We enjoyed the outside area, including the hot tub.

My 75 years have taught me to be wary of things that look too good to be true, because generally they are. However, The Oaks has absolutely proved my caution to be unfounded. I have recently returned from a week's stay 7th to 14th August 2026 with my two sons in their mid 40s and three grandchildren aged 11, 10 and 7. I can concur with all the previous reviews of the house and its facilities. It is well situated in easy reach of shops and lies on a road where the opposite side is grassed fields leading to a lovely tranquil memorial park. But, what makes The Oaks so special is not so much the above as the genuine love, thoughtfulness and kindness shown by the owners towards us their guests. Thank you, Anna and your husband, for all the consumable gifts especially the home baked sourdough and for being so attentive when we needed to contact you. One last note if anyone is looking to bring a child with special needs our 7 year old is a nonverbal, neurodiverse, autistic with great sensory needs. The water feature and hot tub were the focus of her stay. Hopefully, one day she may talk and tell us how wonderful her stay was meanwhile the smile on her face and the shrieks of joy were communication enough. X David

We had the best time ever staying here! The house was absolutely beautiful, even nicer than the photos and had everything we needed. It was spotless, so comfortable, and felt like a real home away from home. The host was so lovely, welcoming, and helpful from start to finish, which made our stay even better. We couldnt have asked for a better place and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a perfect stay!

We LOVED our time at The Oaks. From the moment we arrived the house felt magical. The kids loved exploring all the rooms on arrival annd were even surprised by the secret bathroom upstairs!! All the small details left by the owners really make a big difference. All ages of our family from 4years to 62 felt catered for, toys for the smaller children to games and foosball table for the older children. The hot tub was a huge hit and the dog loved exploring the garden. A lovely gift was dropped off one morning by the owner, some freshly baked sourdough still warm! None of us wanted to leave. We will definitely be back hopefully soon!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Oaks. The property was very luxurious and provided us with a very comfortable base to explore the area. There were many thoughtful touches included such as extra toiletries and a very generous welcome basket. The lounge and kitchen area was very spacious giving us plenty of room to cook, eat and relax. Communication from the owner was excellent, we were even given recommendations of local places to visit. A relaxing holiday in a lovely property.

The property was absolutely beautiful with plenty of spaces to sit both inside and out. Everywhere was clean and tidy and the facilities were great. Lots of parking, gym, hot tub and outdoor facilities. There were lots of small touches like freshly baked bread, a welcome basket and a little polaroid with a memory book for guests. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Location is great with lots of green space close to the house but also a village with pubs, shops and bakeries. House itself was amazing!! Lots of lovely details throughout the property. So spacious, more spacious in real life than in pics. Hope we can return.

We all had a wonderful holiday in the most beautiful house we have ever stayed in. The house was spotless and so spacious it was so relaxing and comfortable. It felt like a home as soon as you walked in . The owners were so helpful and generous.the welcome pack was superb. I have told all my family and friends how amazing this house was. I hope we can come back soon and enjoy your beautiful house again.

We had the most wonderful long weekend stay at this beautiful holiday home and would happily return in a heartbeat. The house itself is stunning it is spacious, thoughtfully laid out, and full of lovely touches that made us feel instantly at home. We really appreciated the added extras such as tea, coffee, toiletries, a generous welcome snack basket, and even games to keep the children entertained. The garden was a fantastic space and our children absolutely loved being outside and making the most of it. Inside, the four bedrooms were all incredibly spacious, and the master bedroom, with its hidden ensuite was a lovely surprise. Although there are two lounges, we found ourselves spending most of our time together in the huge open plan living and dining area, which was perfect for a family stay. The hot tub was a real highlight and enjoyed by everyone, and the entire property was spotless throughout. We had such a relaxing and enjoyable stay and wouldnt hesitate to book again . Highly recommended!
