Wolfen Mill is a 16th Century water-powered mill in Lancashire's Chipping village. This historic property has been fully renovated in 2018 and sits on an acre of stunning grounds. The former bobbin and spindle factory closed in the 1920s but now offers luxury accommodation surrounded by the beautiful Bowland fells. The mill sits in the Trough of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty packed with wildlife-rich landscapes. Free fishing is available right on site (just bring your license). Nearby villages like Longridge, Garstang and Whalley offer shops, tea rooms and gastro pubs. The local Wild Boar Park makes for a brilliant day out. After dark, the area's famous for its dark skies - perfect for stargazing after a few glasses of wine.

Accommodation includes 9 distinct suites sleeping up to 9 guests total. Choose from three king-size suites, three convertible king/twin suites, two double suites, or the family suite with king bed, twin room and bunk room. All have en-suite facilities. The property features a large lakeside lounge, catering kitchen plus two additional kitchens and dining space for 22+ guests.

A great place and location

Although a lovely comfortable property it was not very dog friendly. Dogs were not allowed upstairs and with the communal lounge being up on the second floor it meant that if we wanted to relax in there in the evening we had to leave our dogs on their own downstairs. Subsequently our evenings were spent in the dining room.Also the dogs were not allowed to foul on the grass in front of the property but given this was the only secure piece of garden it was impossible to stop this happening. Another problem I had Im afraid was the 24 hour surveillance in the communal areas. Felt a bit like big brother watching. Having said all this we enjoyed our holiday and loved catching up with family. The owner was very friendly and accommodating and I wish I didnt have to leave a negative comment but I feel the property would be better advertised as dogs not allowed.

We spent our investment weekend away in this stunning place and really enjoyed it. The villa is beautifulan oldfashioned English style with lots of space, cozy charm, and everything you need to relax. We especially loved the jacuzzi, perfect for unwinding after a long day. The area around is also lovely, with plenty of great places to visit. Peaceful, comfortable, and full of character. Well definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

The place was fantastic, they supply everything you need which is great as I thought to bring foil for cooking but they have it all, which I was impressed with. very spacious and loads of room for 18 people which we had, they only thing I would say is the cushions outside for the seats could be a bit thicker but thats my preference, my mum had a wonderful time and so did all the rest of the family, owners where there if we needed anything which we didnt, great stay and definitely would stay again, thank you xx
