About Anchorsholme

Nestled in the peaceful village of Hambleton, enjoy a stroll to the country pub and delight in a drink or delicious home-cooked meal. The popular seaside town of Blackpool is just a short drive away with an abundance of attractions to explore, including Pleasure Beach, Sandcastle Water Park, Blackpool Tower and a wonderful Zoo. A brilliant area for walkers and cyclists, the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks are also both within easy reach. Arrive at this beautiful property and step directly into the utility/boot room. The ideal place to leave muddy coats and boots after a day of exploring, there is a washing machine, freezer and separate WC. Moving through to the main hub of the house, a stunning lounge with high ceilings and bi-folding doors that lead out to the garden, flooding the room with light. Light the fire and sink into one of the deep comfortable sofas to watch a film on the Smart TV. The generously sized kitchen/diner is the ideal space for the whole family to socialise, with a large, stylish dining table, chosen with comfort in mind. Sit at the breakfast bar, drink in hand, whilst the chef of the group prepares a feast. The kitchen area is fully equipped with everything you could need including an induction hob, electric double oven, microwave, full-length fridge, dishwasher and Tassimo coffee machine. To complete the ground floor is a cosy snug with double doors that open out onto the patio. Relax in the armchair in front of the wood burner and indulge in a book. Upstairs you will find three stylish bedrooms, all with delightful views over the river. The first two are super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made up as twins on request). One benefits from an en-suite bathroom with bath, shower attachment and WC and the other an en-suite shower room with WC. The third bedroom is king-size and, next to it, is the family bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Take time to unwind in the enclosed garden where you can relax in the hot tub or enjoy a BBQ around a large outdoor table. The lawn is the ideal size for children and four-legged friends to run free and there is conveniently an outside WC. There is off-road parking for four cars.

The house really had everything we needed, plus a lot more - plenty of crockery, cutleryand utensils, which made hosting easy. It's super comfy, with lots of space for both dining and chilling out. The views over the estuary are stunning, especially at sunset - perfect for a evening walk. We're already planning our return, can't wait!

The arrival treats were a real bonus and much appreciated. We loved wandering along the quiet country lanes and relaxing in the beautifully kept garden. We had an amazing time over New Year at Anchorsholme! The house was beautifully modern and spotless, with plenty of space for our group of six adults. The views from the front bedrooms and kitchen were stunning, overlooking the estuary. We all loved relaxing in the hot tub. The owners really thought of everything, including lovely welcome gifts. The bathrooms are stylishand the lounge is perfect for movie nights, especially when the weather's rubbish. We had a lovely stay at this cottage! Everything about it feels thoughtfully designed, from the well-equipped kitchen to the cosy games and books. The hot tub was a real treatand it's great that there are little touches like bath toys for kids. The outside toilet was a quirky bonus. The peaceful location is perfect, just a short drive to Blackpool. Also, the homemade Victoria sponge was a lovely surprise. Thanks to Peter and Linda for making us feel so welcome!
