Absolutely gorgeous lodge. Views were amazing. Beds very comfortable. Being in the hot tub overlooking the lake with ducks, swans and a heron that seemed to visit each day was priceless. The kitchen is starting to look a little tired but that did not detract in any way from our experience. There are a few steps so if accessibility is a bit of an issue then it could be a problem but that is just to warn people as we did not find it a problem at all. Signage from the road would have helped as I drove past twice! Go slowly into the drive as there are a few potholes. However overall we have had a fabulous week. Would definitely come back!

Positives: plenty of space, the location itself is great and we really enjoyed being on the nature reserve. The accommodation was also well equipped. Negatives: It is advertised as suitable for families but the 3rd bedroom is separate from the main accommodation. One parent had to sleep on the sofa and the other was away from the family each night. Noise levels. For somewhere described as peaceful it is incredibly noisy. We might have got unlucky with the neighbours though. Do not rely on their dog gate. We didn’t bring our dog - but no way it could contain her, or any other dog for that matter.
