Lovely place to stay in a great location, John the host was really welcoming on our arrival . Overall can't fault it, except for the kitchen which is very small ,although the size really wasn't the issue it was the lack of facilities to cook that was major for us ,we had not budgeted for eating out every day and thought that as it was a self catering cottage we had been food shopping prior to our arrival , and unfortunately was unable to cook most of it, as no oven . There is only 2 hobs ,a microwave and a very small air fryer ,although could keep food in fridge so some of the food we got to take home ,however some items we had to throw away as went out of date before leaving, obviously we were expecting to eat them all ,so didn't worry about the best before dates when buying them. There is a washing machine in the kitchen which would easily be moved to the study room and an oven could then be placed in the kitchen so can then have option to cook properly. It should be highlighted as not self catering if not going to change this to prevent others having the same issues as we had. The local pubs are within easy reach by car but again some only serve food on certain days and times ,so eating out was a challenge. Although we were told can order takeaway and get it delivered ,we decided just to eat whenever we out for the day rather than trying to Google the takeaway menus etc.

What a lovely peaceful place. 'The Stables' was lovely and clean, comfy bed, great shower room, small kitchen but everything you needed sharp knives would be a great addition

Arrived a little later than expected due to heavy bank holiday traffic but the owner was waiting to show us around. The stables was a really five star accommodation. Kitchen very small but adequate. Fridge really needs an ice box no ice for G&Ts. Outside space nice and peaceful. Hot tub a real bonus. Overall a lovely holiday thank you.

An exceptional property for relaxing in comfort and peaceful surroundings. Private perimeter gate and parking outside property is an added quality. Close to Stalmine,Fleetwood and Blackpool.

We had a lovely week in The Stables, spotlessly clean, comfy bed, good shower and of course the oh so wonderful hot tub. There's only one thing I think needs to be added to the property details. There is an internal step down into the bedroom and then another up into the en suite. I have mobility issues and really struggled as I couldn't get up and down them on my own, I needed my husbands assistance every time. The owner was really helpful when we couldn't fathom out how to turn the radiators on, the issue was sorted straight away. The cottage is perfect and very private, not overlooked at all even by the property next door. We thoroughly recommend The Stables for anyone wanting a perfect idyll to holiday in.

The Stables was beautiful, comfortable and clean. Fully equipped with everything you need. The setting was picturesque and peaceful. Steve and John were very welcoming and accommodating. Thank you for a lovely stay. Highly recommend.
