About Croft at Hillcrest

Croft at Hillcrest is a wooden-clad cabin built by the owner himself on a working farm in the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Lancashire. Sitting just outside the village of Chipping in the Ribble Valley, this single-storey lodge sleeps four and comes with a private hot tub for four on the raised decking perfect after a day on the fells.

The Forest of Bowland is one of England's least-visited AONBs. You're surrounded by rolling hills with genuinely unforgettable sunsets. Neighbouring goats add to the farm atmosphere. Parlick and Longridge Fell walking trails are right on the doorstep.

Inside, everything is on the ground floor in an open-plan layout. There's a wrap-around sofa, electric fire, Smart TV and a well-equipped kitchen. Bedroom one is a double (4ft 6in) and bedroom two is a twin with two 3ft singles. There's a modern shower room plus a separate cloakroom. Bed linen and towels are included. Stables are available for guests bringing their own horse.

Beacon Fell Country Park (6 miles, 12 mins), Bowland Wild Boar Park (8 miles, 15 mins), Clitheroe Castle Museum (10 miles, 20 mins) and the Tolkien Trail at Hurst Green (14 miles, 25 mins) are all within easy reach.
