Tucked away from the main road, the chalet is accessed by a wooden bridge onto a decked veranda that wraps around the front of the property. Here, you can sit outside and dine alfresco, then relax with a glass of wine in the hot tub! Inside, there is a cosy, compact kitchen, a sitting area with a woodburning stove, and patio doors opening onto the decking. There is also a modern shower room and a pretty bedroom with lovely views of the brook and fields beyond. Across the fields, you can easily walk to Scorton and enjoy a tasty bite to eat in one of its excellent licensed restaurants. Park Brook Retreat is perched on the edge of an Area of Natural Beauty, so there are plenty of wonderful opportunities for walking and cycling through this picturesque area. If you fancy a challenge, make your way to the top of Nicky Nook behind the village. When you reach the top, you can see to Morecambe Bay, Blackpool and the Lake District. On a clear day, you can even make out the faint outline of the Isle of Man! Another great place to visit is Wyresdale Park, a beautiful country house estate that often hosts covered markets, but also offers walking and fishing. A wonderful holiday home, with lots to see and do nearby.
