Crown Hill Lodge in Cononley Reviews

I did have issues with being able to operate the halogen hob and fan oven, neither of which I have and no instructions. Alison (the landlady) came twice to assist. The cottage is lovely open plan, though sadly our wheelchair had to stay outside. Covers and plugging chargers in through the kitchen window resolved that issue. No WiFi connected to the cottage but my friend and I had no problems connecting to our individual networks.Lovely to hear the sheep right across from the cottage.Downside is that it's sadly not disabled friendly.Loo seat incredibly low down.Did hijack a garden chair to use in the shower.James the landlord kindly put down boards over the cattle grids as our chairs and my assistance dog could not cross them.Would have been okay if we were drivers, which we are not.Carer left after 2 days so had to contact James to put down the board each time we left and returned after an outing.Sadly, much as we enjoyed ourselves we won't be returning simply because of the issues with low loo seat and needing a car.Otherwise we would be back to this beautiful part of the country.

First time in all the years we have been coming to the Dales that we were so sad to leave the holiday accommodation. The location is first class with wonderful views down the fields to Cononley, and from the hot tub and decking area up over the fields. Shower was excellent as was the bed; plenty of storage. Kitchen had everything we needed. It is a chalet on a farm so expect spiders etc but nothing that would put us off.Strangely there is no Wi-Fi.
